AMERICAN ABOMINATION
Recent news commentary following Democrat victories in recent state elections is focusing on abortion and other moral obscenities as being perhaps the pivotal issues that are determining which way these elections go. Any conservative candidate that proposes even modest restrictions on abortion, such as Youngkin's proposed 15-week limit in Virginia, appears to be given the kiss of death as far as voters are concerned. It appears these people, come hell or high water, are determined to worship at the pagan altar of abortion and will tolerate no restrictions on the practice whatsoever.
Just to be graphically clear, this is the horror these soulless ghouls celebrate and support with their vote:
As I have long argued, what is really being tested in our elections is not the relative virtues, strong points or weak points of specific candidates per se but the intellectual, moral and spiritual virtues of the electorate. The people vote for whom and for what they themselves are...
Sadly, when it comes to the monstrosity of abortion, this is an intellectual, moral and spiritual test the people seem to be failing on a massive, perhaps a majority scale, thereby placing at risk the entire country as traditionally constituted:
"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations get corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters" - Ben Franklin
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is entirely inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle." - George Washington
In the context of the foundational American values set forth in these brief quotes, no twisting of reason or logic - no euphemisms like "reproductive healthcare" or "a woman's right to choose" - can possibly rationalize or justify the nation's willful slaughter of tens of millions of unborn children.
Though the pagan gods being worshipped today lurk unnamed in the shadows, the practice of abortion is no different in spirit and essence than the child sacrifice practiced by ancient pagan religions - including by the Israelites who abandoned the God of their fathers and embraced the pagan gods of the land.
Had the practice of abortion been technically feasible and broadly practiced by the Israelites in Old Testament times, one can easily imagine what Jehovah, through his prophets, would have had to say about it - and what he would have done about it - no less than the destruction he brought down upon them in retribution for their child sacrifice.
Can one imagine a greater abomination than abortion? Anything more likely to bring down upon our heads the wrath of an offended God?
Whatever hellfire and brimstone an outraged Deity may be prepared to pour out on the heads of these murderous monsters - the inhuman, inhumane Godless demons who practice, support or vote for this abominable, bloody liberal sacrament - Mother Nature herself actively militates against such an intellectually, morally and spiritually corrupt people. You can fool yourself, but you can't fool Mother Nature.
Setting aside the moral abomination that all traditional Judeo-Christian religious values declare it to be, the practice, even in secular terms, is a societally suicidal obscenity. A society that, as a matter of public policy, slaughters tens of millions of its unborn children is literally committing suicide. As one observer noted, speaking of the future of any such self-destructive society, "In order to have a future, you've got to be there." A debauched, libertine society that butchers its unborn children is artificially, deliberately reducing its fertility rate below levels needed for population replacement. They won’t be there…
Tragically, today, America, as a nation, in my view no longer has claim on the protective influence of the Judeo-Christian God of our fathers who blessed and established this country. Having turned like dogs to our vomit, I believe we have offended that righteous God every bit as thoroughly as did the ancient Israelites who, betraying their glorious tradition as a people chosen and blessed by the One True and Living God, worshipping at the altars of false gods made of wood, stone and metal, slaughtered their own children in pagan sacrifice. Their child sacrifice did not work out well for them, nor will ours for us.
“For as their laws and their governments were established by the voice of the people, and they who chose evil were more numerous than they who chose good, therefore they were ripening for destruction, for the laws had become corrupted. Yea, and this was not all; they were a stiffnecked people, insomuch that they could not be governed by the law nor justice, save it were to their destruction."
- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Book of Mormon, Helaman 5:2-3
Right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, reality vs. fantasy, law vs. lawlessness, order vs. chaos, light vs. darkness, good vs. evil, God vs. the Godless…
Take your pick… You will, like it or not.
If you can be fooled, you will be.
These are the times that try men’s souls…
