Click HERE for an article that catalogs the mainstream media's predictions for the looming death of America and the reasons they offer up in support of this doom and gloom.
As I asserted in a recent Substack posting, The Refiner's Fire, America may well collapse as the hateful, anti-American media predict, but it won't be for the reasons they cite. It won't be because of the "evils of capitalism" - capitalism being nothing more than the expression of individual human liberty in the economic sphere - or "white supremacy" - what the doddering, demented, ridiculous buffoon and sock puppet Joe Biden ludicrously tells us is "the most lethal threat to America", or "institutional racism", or "guns", or "transphobia", a "climate apocalypse", Donald J. Trump, "MAGA Republicans", the Christian faith or any of the other scurrilous fictions and lies the lawless, seditious, treasonous Democrat left, in their relentless pursuit of absolute, unassailable power and the overthrow of the Constitution, continue to gin up as they pursue their unrelenting atheistic attack on traditional Judeo/Christian America - our God-based tradition that must be thrown down if their aspirations to absolute totalitarian power are to be realized.
If America implodes - and the odds are good it will - it will happen consequent to the wholesale rejection and abandonment by a majority of the American people of the glorious, inspired, God-based intellectual, moral and spiritual Judeo/Christian patrimony we have inherited from our Founders - perhaps the most enlightened and brilliant generation of men that ever lived in the world. It will be because we, surrounded by every imaginable blessing, have suicidally turned like dogs to our vomit and allowed a pervasive intellectual, moral and spiritual rot to continue to eat away at the bones of America. Such a collapse will be the inexorable consequence of our rejection of the bedrock Judeo/Christian truths and values that alone provide the foundation for a free, prosperous, happy and enduring society.
Though this may come as a rude surprise to the Democrat Left, you can't fool Mother Nature. Neither individuals nor societies can do what the supremely arrogant leftist fifth column among us propose to do - rewrite the unforgiving, non-negotiable rules of reality, the body of God-given "natural law" the Founders had reference to as they worked to lay the foundations for what has become the greatest, freest, happiest, most prosperous nation ever to exist on the face of the earth - an intellectual, moral and spiritual blueprint for society that has done more good for more people than any other in history.
Reality is impersonal. The law of the natural order doesn't care what we do. If we comply, it will lift us to peace, prosperity, happiness and glory, or, if we don't, it will just as readily grind us to powder under its uncaring, merciless Juggernaut wheels.
Faced with that body of immutable, implacable natural law, we have only the choice of how we, individually and collectively, will relate ourselves to it. We can choose to harmonize with it and prosper in every way or fly in the face of it and destroy ourselves, as peoples and nations have done since the beginning of time.
Though the natural order is impersonal and uncaring, the Divine Being who inspired our Founding Fathers and gave us our Constitution, our bulwark of liberty (D&C 101:80) is not. Indeed, he is our Father and is intimately personal and demanding in his interest in us. He is just as attentive to us as he was to his ancient people, the Israelites. Our great nation was created according to the mind, will and purpose of God and was decreed by him to be a land of safety, freedom and prosperity for all who would live here and seek the face of God. Jesus Christ, as ancient prophets declared, is the God of this land:
"...[this is] the land of promise, which was choice above all other lands, which the Lord God had preserved for a righteous people. And he has sworn in his wrath... that whoso should possess this land of promise, from that time henceforth and forever, should serve him, the true and only God, or they should be swept off when the fulness of his wrath should come upon them.
"And now, we can behold the decrees of God concerning this land, that it is a land of promise; and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall serve God, or they shall be swept off when the fulness of his wrath shall come upon them. And the fulness of his wrath cometh upon them when they are ripened in iniquity.
"For behold, this is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are swept off.
"And this cometh unto you... that ye may know the decrees of God—that ye may repent, and not continue in your iniquities until the fulness come, that ye may not bring down the fulness of the wrath of God upon you as the inhabitants of the land have hitherto done.
“Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written."
- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Book of Mormon, Ether 2:7-12
In light of the understanding conveyed in these passages of scripture, let me ask the following rhetorical questions:
(1) Where do you think we, as a society, are on the scale of Christian righteousness/wickedness spoken of in the above scripture? Are we closer to the righteous end of the scale or the wicked end - the point where a righteous God has had enough? How close are we to being “ripened in iniquity”?

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.” (Nelson Mandela)
(2) What is the trend? Are we moving toward greater righteousness, measured by a Christian standard, or toward greater wickedness?
Again, these are rhetorical questions. We all know the answers - they paint a truly bleak picture for the future of America - and, according to scripture, a truly frightening, terminal prognosis for those who have set their faces against God and ignore his warnings.
One can speculate on the scale and ramifications of the promised "sweeping off" of the wicked when an offended God finally pulls the trigger on them. Will this promised outpouring of divine wrath, this terminal comeuppance for the wicked, spell the end of America as a society and a nation? A possible answer may lie in an honest and accurate assessment of how pervasive is the evil at work among us, high and low. In my view, such an assessment, which I think reveals stage-four intellectual, moral and spiritual rot throughout our society, promises a cataclysm that may well be terminal with regard to the institutional pillars and superstructure of our society.
But not all. There are many in America who have not turned their backs on God and his son Jesus Christ. Will they, too, go down the drain with the wicked?
Encouragingly, in the midst of this bleak outlook, there is a bright laser beam of hope and promise shining through the darkness - a scriptural comfort to the righteous in this land. First, again, the warning, and then, almost as an afterthought, the comforting promise:
"Wherefore, I, Lehi, prophesy according to the workings of the Spirit which is in me, that there shall none come into this land save they shall be brought by the hand of the Lord. Wherefore, this land is consecrated unto him whom he shall bring. And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be a land of liberty unto them; wherefore, they shall never be brought down into captivity; if so, it shall be because of iniquity; [the warning] FOR IF INIQUITY SHALL ABOUND CURSED SHALL BE THE LAND FOR THEIR SAKES, BUT [the promise] UNTO THE RIGHTEOUS IT SHALL BE BLESSED FOREVER. (2 Nephi 1:6-7).
