A participant in another forum, a Trump-hater - I’ll call him Richard - frequently makes personal, ad hominem attacks on Donald Trump, such as calling him a “crook” and a “danger to America”, but never provides any explanation or evidence in support of his anti-Trump calumny. In response to his consistently unsupported spewing of Trump hatred in that forum, I have in return labeled him, among other things, a “pathetic clown” and a “self-absorbed slob”.
In a recent post, in response to a call for an open and thorough examination of what happened in the 2020 election - something virtually half the citizenry would like to see happen - Richard simply declared this “nonsense”, decreed Trump the 2020 loser and asserted that “55 judges say Trump lost the election”. Marvelously self-unaware that he was providing a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black and opening a revealing window on the Trump-hating mind in the process, Richard went on to bleat out the following protest:
Why do you always call me names? I don’t consider myself either a “pathetic clown” nor “a self-absorbed slob”. I, like 55 judges, say that Trump lost the election (thank god!). I do not hate Trump – I consider him a buffoon, but a dangerous one. I have only met him once. He was tossed out of all US banks who knew him well as the crook that he is.
Richard
Here below is my response:
I don't “call you names”, Richard. That implies an element of unfairness. I am just calling a spade a spade. If I name you for what you demonstrably are, I have done you no injustice. I assess you and describe you as accurately and fairly as I can based on the evidence about yourself you provide in this forum. You supply more of that evidence every time you open your mouth. Of course you don't consider yourself a "pathetic clown" or a "self-absorbed slob". What pathetic clown or self-absorbed slob does? The question is not what you consider yourself to be, but what the evidence you provide objectively reveals you to be.
Unlike you and your unfounded attacks on DJT, Richard, I will support my characterization of you with hard evidence. Here is an example from your last post, quoted above:
Addressing a subject critical to the wellbeing and viability of our democratic Republic - the integrity of our electoral process - and responding to the assertion that a full examination of what happened in the 2020 election is necessary to settle the matter in the minds of virtually half the citizenry who think the election was problematic or outright stolen - you declare that "55 judges say Trump lost the election", as if such a declaration from you settles or should settle the matter.
In reality, 55 judges said no such thing. 55 judges - or however many there actually were - judges often if not always in the tank for the Trump-hating elitist establishment and without the spine to allow the issue of election fraud to be confronted and aired out in their courts - and in no instance having allowed any sort of evidentiary hearing - that is, there has been no actual, formal examination in any court of law of the mass of available evidence supporting allegations of 2020 election fraud - simply found procedural excuses - such as "lack of standing" - not to hear the cases brought before them.
Again, in no instance were these cases fully adjudicated nor were they disallowed based on any actual examination of evidence in a court of law, and in no case did any such judge "say Trump lost the election". All they said was, "We've found an excuse not to hear your case."
No court of law has ever ruled on fully aired and carefully considered evidence alleging election fraud in the 2020 election.
See the difference, Richard? The critical difference? See what the difference says about you? The declarative statement you make in public with such absolute confidence - "55 judges say Trump lost the election" - is simply not true. Not remotely true. Dangerously untrue. Yet, because it caters to your weak-minded pre-conceived notions and preferred outcomes, you’ll say whatever you need to and to hell with the truth. You are happy to pontificate on a subject you clearly and almost certainly are willfully ignorant of, a subject that is of critical, even existential importance to our country.
If our electoral processes are compromised, America is finished as a free and democratic society. Is that not an issue worth examining carefully? Half our people think it is.
Since you have proven yourself more than willing to foist off on us such dangerous and ignorant misrepresentations, Richard - outright untruths - how far off the mark am I characterizing you as a pathetic clown and a self-absorbed slob? If not those designations, then what? Just benignly, innocently ignorant or misinformed? I think not. You wear your malevolent Trump hatred on your sleeve.
Moreover, revealing further dubious dimensions of your character, you are happy to slander and libel Mr. Trump by calling him "a crook" while blithely ignoring the need to offer anything remotely resembling proof of such a charge. Shall we call you a crook, Richard, and offer no proof? If I did so, you could rightly sue me for slander or libel.
If Trump is a crook, why isn't he in jail - especially given the ocean of elitist Trump hatred the man is forced to swim in every day of his life? Surely, it there was something there - something anywhere - that would convincingly prove Trump a "crook", we'd know about it by now, wouldn't we? The Trump-hating media would make sure we know about it, right? Well, sir - you hateful, slanderous punk - after years of his enemies putting every aspect of Trump's life under a hostile microscope, where is the proof that Trump is a "crook"?
What? Nothing? No proof? All you've got is hearsay? The second-hand venom spewed out by other Trump-haters? Still, you are happy to repeat the slander. Again, what does that say about you?
Anybody out there like to have someone with a mind and character like Richard's sitting on a jury trying your case?
Finally, notice how Richard, ignoring both the massive good Trump did for the country during his first term and the utter disaster Biden and his illegitimate regime, in virtually every aspect of their governance, have brought down upon the people, fails the no-brainer test set forth in my earlier post and thanks God (a being he almost certainly knows nothing about) for this sorry state of affairs. Truly, the intellectual, moral and spiritual rot in the bones of America.
Unbeknownst to himself, Richard is giving us a clear look into what the Chinese call his "true face and eyes". That view, Richard, tells us more - far more - about the defects in your character than it does about any shortfall in DJT's.
Whatever the personal sins, foibles and eccentricities of Donald Trump - let him who has none cast the first stone - he is a patriot and has a track record of doing good for our country - a track record arrogant, self-righteous, judgmental, fanatical Trump-haters like you, Richard, simply redact from their Trump-hating, venom-spewing surreality.
Whatever Trump's shortcomings, they are far lesser threats to our country than intellectually, morally and spiritually corrupt people like Richard.
Evil - what some people, in pursuit of their own selfish ends, are willing to have other people suffer.
Right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, reality vs. fantasy, light vs. darkness, law vs. lawlessness, justice vs. injustice, good vs. evil, God vs. the Godless...
Take your pick. You will, one way or another.
If you can be fooled, you will be.
These are the times that try men's souls...
Torquemada
p.s. And please, Richard, you fraud, enough of your pathetic, transparently disingenuous protestations that you do not hate Donald Trump. Like the SCOTUS justice who was asked for his definition of pornography - "I know it when I see it" - we know Trump hatred when we see it.
