The "Restrict Act" contains the following language describing how the government could respond to someone deemed to be engaged with "a foreign adversary":
- the secretary of commerce could then enforce “any mitigation measure to address any risk arising from any covered transaction with any person or with respect to any property subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.”
The glaring problem here is a way too great lack of precision in defining terms like "foreign adversary", "mitigation measure", "risk arising", "covered transaction", "any person" and “any property”.
Such vagueness of language in legislation and law is a standard technique of tyrannical regimes who intend to give themselves maximum leeway to interpret arbitrarily the language of the law so as to maximize their control over the people and limit any behavior they see as a threat to their power.
Accordingly, what every thoughtful American citizen needs to ask is this question: Is "The Restrict Act" actually targeted at Tik Tok, or is it in reality a deceitful trojan horse intended to shut the mouths of American citizens, limit their freedoms, destroy their privacy, and bring the nation further down under the jackboot of tyranny?
How about an example of how this act might, if passed as is, be interpreted so as to limit the freedoms of US citizens? Anybody out there use a VPN - a virtual private network - to protect the privacy of your online activities? If you do, since VPN's typically are international networks, you could, by means of a simple government act of arbitrary interpretation, potentially be considered to be "engaged with a foreign adversary" and be at risk for a 20-year prison sentence:
Far better to do without the privacy protections of a VPN than run the risk of rotting in jail for 20 years, right?
But wait! Am I and Tucker Carlson (scroll down to link) falling prey to just another over-wrought, breast-beating, tinfoil-hat conspiracy theory? The people's government would neverconspire against the fundamental, constitutional liberties of the people, would they? WOULD THEY?
Consider the long-standing efforts of liberal government to deny the people their last-ditch defense against tyrannical government - the right to keep and bear arms.
Consider the massive assault on the people’s sacred God-given liberties perpetrated by the US Government and its several institutions under the guise of the Covid pseudo-pandemic.
Turn on your TV, watch the vaccine promotions and consider what these demons continue to do in their ongoing effort to foist off on the people - even six-month old babies - a collection of experimental deadly poisons masquerading as vaccines - vaccines shown to be almost totally ineffective but toxic and deadly on a frightening scale - far greater in their baneful effects than any previous vaccine.
Moreover, consider the documented, ongoing weaponization of government institutions - the FBI, the DOJ and the IRS - martialed against the citizens - demonstrating a clear willingness of those in control to use government power to militate against the liberties of the people.
Conspiracy theories? I think not.
If Tik Tok is indeed a threat to our national security - and I believe it is - why not simply ban it and leave it at that? Why create complicated and obscure legislation that potentially threatens the interests and liberties of US citizens? - unless that is exactly the hidden intent behind this trojan-horse legislation?
Finally, the most telling and deadly comment on this legislation one could imagine is the simple fact that the illegitimate, seditious, traitorous Biden regime, people who have been systematically working to destroy America since they stole power in a corrupt 2020 election, are "very in favor" of it. Let’s line up with the doddering dement Biden and his puppet masters, shall we?
If one followed as a general rule the idea that anything this illegitimate, seditious and treasonous power structure is in favor of is bad for America and should be opposed, one would, in my view, be right on target.
Remember... these are the same people who recently attempted to create a "disinformation bureau” - a “Big-Brother-is-Watching” institution intended to crack down on anything they arbitrarily might define as "disinformation". We have seen that essentially everything these demons have heretofore declared to be "disinformation" and vigorously sought to suppress since they stole their way into power has proven to be rock-solid truth.
You want to give these aspiring tyrants even more arbitrary power to dismantle your sacred, God-given liberties? If not, maybe you better get on the horn to your congressmen and senators…

Finally, in light of all this, might I suggest that if Americans allow to become law a bill like the "Restrict Act", containing the language that it does, without further precise definitions, clarifications, specifications and protections, they will have proven themselves fools of the first order, utterly careless of their liberty.

If the bill passed, and the Biden administration decided that someone was engaging with a “foreign adversary”, then the secretary of commerce could then enforce “any mitigation measure to address any risk arising from any covered transaction with any person or with respect to any property subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.” These transactions can involve current, past or potential future transactions. The mitigation measures include throwing American citizens in prison for 20 years. Tucker Carlson gave an example that under this proposed law, criticism of the war against Russia could lead to 20 years in prison. The bill is not about banning TikTok, but instead introducing flat out totalitarianism into our system. The government would be in charge of what you read and see and with terrifying punitive powers at their fingertips.
