In another forum, one Trump-hating contributor, revealing the profound irrationality of his thinking regarding DJT, made the following revealing statement:
“We are against Trump, even though we liked his policies."
This fellow went on to bleat that Trump "is arrogant, reckless, immoral, self-destructive" and, in a colossal insult to the intelligence of the American people, assures us Trump "will lose to Biden" - notwithstanding Trump, despite his recent indictment, leads Biden in national polls and the unmitigated and complete disaster the illegitimate, corrupt, doddering dement Biden and his puppet masters have brought down on our heads.
Will America under any circumstances re-elect this flaming disaster?
This mindless anti-Trump mindset is akin to saying, "Even though I know he's the best brain surgeon in the world and my life is at stake, I won't choose him to cut out my brain tumor because I think he's an ass. I'll settle for an inferior doctor I think is a nice guy."
Style over substance - a classic example of cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. If this attitude prevails among us, we are finished.
Of course, in the real world, as concerns the presidency, policies are the only thing that matters - especially given the dire straits leftists, Democrats and deep-state RINOs have created for the country over many decades.
Though it may be an entertaining distraction, the personality of the president is utterly irrelevant. What he actually does and how it impacts the country are all that matters. As I have noted in the past, if the devil himself was president and dependably did what was in the best interests of the country (obviously an unlikely scenario), he would have my support.
Other than actual performance, there is no rational basis for choosing a president - especially when the two major contestants actually have track records that can be compared - radically different track records - one overwhelmingly positive for the country, and the other abysmally negative.
The disaster America faces is multifaceted and existential. The rot in the nation's bones is deep. If we don't get control of things and reverse course, the country is finished. The only effective remedies are not little tweaks and band-aids here and there, but radical surgeries, a reality that has become clearer and clearer as we have watched the stunning and growing corruption of critical institutions like the FBI and the DOJ and the jack-booted, gross injustices that have flowed from that corruption.
The necessary remedies are clearly beyond the reach of the sort of unprincipled, spineless, go-along-to-get-along politicians who have been running our great country - our patrimony - into the ground. We need a butt-kicker - someone who is able correctly to define the problems we face and has the backbone to fight the necessary battles in defense of our Constitution - our liberty and our rule of law - a David to stand up against the seditious, treasonous Goliath government monster that looms over us - a monster that has been generations in the making and, wallowing in wealth and power, will not go quietly into the night.
That man is Donald J. Trump.
He has a track record of doing the right thing for country under the most distressing circumstances, faced with the most intense and unprincipled opposition. Been there, done that.
The people who understand the problems we face know it and see him as the only leader with the proven understanding and the guts to confront the sedition and treason eating away at the country.
The seditionists and traitors who have created and benefit from these problems also know who Trump is and what he will do. They see him as an existential threat to the self-serving money and power structure they have built. They will fight him to the last ditch.
Which of these two shall we choose? Hmmm….
Assuming a brain with just a few firing synapses, this, again, is a no-brainer.
Right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, reality vs. fantasy, knowledge vs. ignorance, law vs. lawlessness, justice vs. injustice, order vs. chaos, liberty vs. tyranny, light vs. darkness, life vs. death, good vs. evil, God vs. the Godless...
Time to pick a side. You will, like it or not...
