Interestingly, my internet home page, MSN.com, continues from day to day to post on their website a Deseret News article, first published nearly a year ago, titled:
“Vitamin D and Calcium Supplements Don’t Work, According to a New Study”
I first responded to this article on January 4th this year with this post:
THE GOD OF THIS WORLD VS. VITAMIN D
Then, in response to the repeated appearance of this same article on the MSN.com website, I posted again on January 22nd:
VITAMIN D SUPPLEMENTS DON’T WORK?
The incessant popping up of this article on the MSN.com website begs the question:
WHY?
In my musings to find an answer, I have been reminded of my experience years ago now regarding high-dose vitamin C (I may have written about this before). I had just been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Curious, I asked my oncologist, if this stuff one day kills me, how exactly will it kill me? He explained it would typically reach a crisis stage, destroy my immune system, leave me prey to some two-bit bacterial or viral infection which would lead to a fatal case of pneumonia.
Coincidentally, just after that, I randomly ran across on YouTube a video of a presentation at a medical conference by Dr. Thomas E. Levy, cardiologist, lawyer, researcher, author. The subject of Dr. Levy’s presentation was high-dose vitamin C.
In the course of his presentation, Dr. Levy made the following statement:
“In sufficiently high doses, vitamin C is an absolute [sic!] virucide. Moreover, in sufficiently high doses, vitamin C is an absolute [sic!] bactericide”.
Whoa! Hold on there! Could these assertions possibly be true? If true, these were not just interesting factoids but constituted a potential revolution in medical science. I quickly hit the pause button and drew a pie chart in my head. The pie contained all the human disease and related suffering in the world. I then asked, how big a slice of that pie would be accounted for by viruses? How big a slice for bacteria? Of course, I couldn’t estimate with any precision how big these slices would actually be, but I knew they would be sizeable indeed. Half the pie? You tell me.
So here was this guy, a credible medical professional, asserting that a cheap, safe (no known toxic dose of C) and readily available vitamin, properly utilized, could virtually eliminate the death and suffering associated with viruses and bacteria.
The next thought I had was, if one of these viruses or bacteria was one day going to knock me off consequent to a weakened leukemic immune system, I might have stumbled across a way to protect myself.
Rather than take Dr. Levy uncritically at his word, I became a student of vitamin C. In addition to a broad range of research material, I read pretty much all of Dr. Levy’s well-referenced books, including “Primal Panacea” and “Curing the Incurable - Vitamin C, Infectious Disease and Toxins”. As a result of this study, I became convinced that Dr. Levy’s claims for high-dose vitamin C - and not his alone - were factual and rooted in sound research and clinical experience. (In the 1940’s, before the development of the polio vaccine, one Dr. Frederick Klenner, a GP, was CURING polio patients - every one he treated - with high-dose vitamin C. He lectured and published but was totally ignored.)
Early on in my study of vitamin C, I learned that the form of medicine broadly practiced in the United States today is “allopathic” medicine - a form of practice that does not seek to prevent disease but primarily treats symptoms, not causes, and typically is not interested in cures. It became obvious to me that not only was this traditional practice of medicine not interested in what vitamin C had been shown to do but was actively hostile to the whole concept and worked vigorously to discredit it as wacko fringe snake oil nonsense. Apart from simply bad-mouthing the arguments for C, they created and cited research studies purportedly proving vitamin C was ineffective in treating infections - studies which invariably used milligram dosages of C (to this day the RDA for C is a paltry 90 mg) that did not remotely approach the tens or even hundreds of daily GRAMS of C necessary to achieve therapeutic levels.
Why this hostility?
FOLLOW THE MONEY!
If the preponderance of viral and bacterial infections that afflict mankind could not only be effectively treated but even prevented with a dirt-cheap, safe (again, no known toxic dose of C) and readily available vitamin, the threat to the “allopathic” income stream of the pharmaceutical industry and their captured medical practitioners would be profound - many fewer products sold, many fewer visits to the doctor. Again, their focus and the source of their money is on treating symptoms, not preventing and curing disease. The more symptoms the better. If the symptoms stop, the money stops.
Again, what portion of Big Pharma’s and the traditional (allopathic) practice of medicine’s income comes from products and services that treat viral and bacterial infections? Rhetorical question. The obvious answer is, a WHOOPING BIG PORTION. All one needs then to understand is that, as concerns the motivations and priorities of Big Pharma, when push comes to shove, money talks - the more of it the better - not the well-being of mankind.
Again, as I have repeatedly noted in past posts, there is no better example of this heartless, mercenary, money-grubbing, power-hungry mentality than what the pharmaceutical/medical/governmental cabal has over the past few years put the world through and continues to inflict on us with regard to the colossal Covid pandemic/Covid vaccine fraud. To this day these demons continue to flog their poisons, seek deep to hide their vicious, murderous deceit - a hellish scheme that has killed and injured millions around the world - and work to destroy anyone who threatens to blow the cover on their evil.
But now back to vitamin D and MSN.com’s ad nauseam recitation of the Deseret News article declaring “vitamin D … supplements don’t work”. This piece is either a manifestation of blatant ignorance concerning vitamin D or is an outright, deliberate lie intended to discredit this natural substance and steer people away from the dramatic positive impact it has on the human immune system:
“VITAMIN D’S EFFECT ON IMMUNE FUNCTION”
Citing the above research, I sent an email to the author of this piece, one Alyssa Bradford, at the Deseret News and asked how she could defend the assertion in the article headline that “Vitamin D… supplements don’t work”. No response. Surprise! Surprise!
With reference to our guiding principle - FOLLOW THE MONEY! - which principle is in operation here in the creation of this article and its relentless recitation on MSN.com? Is it ignorance or deliberate deceit? You tell me.
In summary, I invite the reader to consider two things - first, the combined dramatic benefit to mankind of the optimal therapeutic uses of vitamins C and D in preventing, treating, and curing disease, and, second, the massive threat such use poses to the deeply entrenched money and power interests of Big Pharma and their captured toadies in government and the traditional “allopathic” practice of medicine (we may, hopefully, be on the doorstep of a new and better age with RFK, Jr. now in charge of HHS).
These two considerations may have existential impact on your life. If you get it right, you might, as Spock says, “live long and prosper”. If you get it wrong, you could be dead or seriously injured, as million unnecessarily are consequent to the grand Covid pandemic/vaccine swindle - all driven by the greed and power-lust of Big Pharma and their minions in government and traditional medicine.
Attendantly, since money, not the wellbeing of humanity, is ultimately the driving priority of Big Pharma, and in light of the massive threat posed to their financial interests by these cheap, safe and effective natural substances, how would you expect them to orient themselves to the truth regarding the benefits of vitamins C and D? This also is a rhetorical question. No need to speculate. Again, we have before us a perfect example of Big Pharma, during the Covid fiasco, relentlessly, brutally focused on forcing their toxic and deadly, ineffective, experimental pseudo-vaccines on the terrorized populations of the world while viciously suppressing effective alternative therapies like hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, vitamin D and vitamin C - all resulting in the unnecessary deaths, injuries and suffering of millions.
No one will ever care more about your life or the lives of your loved ones than you do. In other words, the buck stops with you, not over yonder with some self-styled “expert” may pretend to have all the answers but who in fact, if push comes to shove, likely has priorities other than what’s best for you. Sadly, in a vicious world like this, you cannot depend on others to be educated and informed for you, to do your thinking for you - especially when your very life and those of your loved ones are at stake. Your ability to survive and prosper in such a dangerous world will be inversely related to the degree of ignorance you allow to guide your decisions - and thinking that someone else has all the answers is a deadly form of ignorance.
Finally, let me say that by no means am I advocating the total dismissal of today’s allopathic practice of medicine, only that it needs to be approached with wisdom and discretion. I, for one, have benefited from “allopathic” medicine. Indeed, my life has been saved by it (a marvelous medication that, after a near-death experience, has brought my CLL under control and kept it there - but no cure). I am simply saying that mindlessly approaching these ossified institutions and practitioners of medicine without a sense of one’s own irreplaceable responsibility to be informed and to think critically can be a dangerous, even fatal mistake.
