Rot in the Soul of America
I have long argued that it is the intellectual, moral and spiritual substance of the people that drive the present and future of the nation. The social, economic and political circumstances of the people at any time are nothing more than manifestations of their underlying collective intellectual, moral and spiritual character. That same collective character is an unerring predicter of what is to come.
There is, in my view, no greater, more telling indicator of the extensive and abysmal intellectual, moral and spiritual depravity of American society than what we have for the past 50 years tolerated, approved and institutionalized into law regarding abortion.
But first, what is abortion? Is it "freedom of choice"? Is it "a woman's right to control her own body"? Is it "a woman's right to reproductive healthcare"? Is it any of the pathetic, transparent euphemisms and deceitful corruptions of language pro-abortion demons from hell apply to it in order to mask the true nature and horror of what they are doing, what they condone? No. Abortion is none of those things.
With apologies to the tender-hearted - those decent human beings who will be properly abhorred by the following image - this is what abortion is - the butchery of the unborn:
Every woman who, presenting herself for an abortion, thinks she, by any intellectual, moral or spiritual standard or argument, has the right to perpetrate such a horror on her own unborn baby, who justifies such an abomination by declaring it her "freedom of choice", her "right to control her own body", or "access to reproductive healthcare", ought to have, following the procedure, the shattered, butchered remains of her child dumped in her lap. Let's see how well her pathetic euphemisms and self-justifications hold up when she has to stare into the bloody mess of gore that was, a few moments ago, a living, healthy baby - her baby - whose life she brought into existence by freely choosing to engage in the sexual activity that produces life, and whose life she chose to take away, whose little body she offered up to be slaughtered and sacrificed on the altar of her debauchery - all to avoid the consequences of her own free choices.
Staring in the face the reality of abortion, as the above image horrifically and graphically depicts it, is enough, in my view, to blow the cover on all those who participate in, support or condone this abomination, revealing them for the hello-bound demons they are. What kind of person can characterize the above image as an expression of "freedom of choice", "a woman's right to choose", "a woman's control over her own body", or "access to reproductive healthcare"? What can be said of the intellectual, moral or spiritual character of the mother or the father who would agree to such a fate for their child? What of those who actually commit the murder - the medical people who jammed surgical scissors into the head of this unborn baby boy and then sucked out his brain, causing his skull to collapse? What of all those in society who not only agree with but applaud abortion, those who have succeeded in enshrining this horror into law and are fighting tooth and nail to make sure abortion remains "legal"? By any decent intellectual, moral or spiritual standard, how can such people be considered anything less than inhuman monsters?
It appears now that, after nearly 50 years and more than 63 million babies slaughtered, the Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 SCOTUS decision that effectively made abortion the law of the land and prevented states from writing their own abortion laws. What the Supreme Court is now apparently about to do is in fact not to make abortion illegal as the mindless and frantic leftist protesters declare - indeed the prospective ruling passes no judgment on the morality or legality of abortion at all - but simply to return the issue to the states, where it should have been all along, and let them make their own decisions for their own citizens. No big deal, right? The ultimate outcome of that process will certainly be that many states will choose to keep abortion legal, and others will impose restrictions of varying degrees on the procedure in keeping with the views and values of the citizens of each state. In other words, democracy in action. No one determined to get an abortion will find it impossible.
The prospective SCOTUS action provides us a convenient measure of the depravity of the American people - that rot in the soul of the nation. That measure is found in the cacophonic, frenzied reaction of the Democrat Left, demons who worship at the altar of abortion as if it were a religious sacrament. For them, notwithstanding the actual horrific reality of what abortion is, it is the core, the most visible tenet of their godless libertine religion, and - religious fanatics that they are - they will not tolerate their bloodthirsty sacrament being challenged on any constitutional, democratic grounds - and certainly not on the grounds of basic human decency. For them, abortion - however unconstitutional the idea of a right to abortion actually is, as the court has concluded - must remain enshrined at the supreme "constitutional" law of the land that all citizens must be subject to without their having any voice or vote. Notwithstanding their pathetic, asinine remonstrations and catcalls about "THREATS TO DEMOCRACY!", the leftists reveal their true dictatorial, anti-democratic mindset by taking a position on that issue that is exactly opposed to the democracy provided for by the Constitution - a document that makes no mention of abortion or abortion rights whatsoever.
Pay close attention to how the Democrat Left continue to react as the SCOTUS abortion saga unfolds, and put their every utterance to the test I have suggested in the past:
"The credibility of WHAT you argue is directly a function of HOW you argue."
"Find the truth in the methodology of argument. The truth cuts its own way and can be argued for in an open and honest manner that does not insult the intelligence of those it seeks to persuade. Deceit cannot be so argued."
With every word they utter, with the love and devotion they declare for the practice of child sacrifice, those on the Democrat Left reveal the depths of their intellectual, moral and spiritual depravity and manifest their true hate for real democracy. How are these people any different in spirit and practice than the ancients who burned their children on the altars of pagan gods? The difference is only in the details.
"There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children." - Nelson Mandella
There is a God in heaven who knows and passes judgment on the hearts of men. There is a deadly rot in the soul of America. God knows it, and decent, God-fearing men and women know it. There is no clearer manifestation of that rot than the pagan, debauched practice of abortion - child sacrifice. We may not slaughter our children to please the pagan gods Moloch and Baal as the ancient did - including the ancient Israelites who should have known better - but the debauched, libertine spirit is the same.
63 million babies slaughtered!
Unless the good and decent people among us stand up, confront this evil and oppose those who support it, why should we expect a different fate than was suffered by the godless, child-sacrificing ancients whom God destroyed?
"For as their laws and their governments were established by the voice of the people, and they who chose evil were more numerous than they who chose good, therefore they were ripening for destruction, for the laws had become corrupted. Yea, and this was not all; they were a stiffnecked people, insomuch that they could not be governed by the law nor justice, save it were to their destruction." - Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Book of Mormon, Helaman 5:2-3
