The Children of Darkness
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano's June 7, 2020 Letter to Donald J. Trump
On June 7, 2020 - several months before Trump had the 2020 election stolen from him - Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, one of the most plain-spoken and outspoken members of the senior hierarchy of the Catholic Church, sent an open letter to President Trump (hat tip to Steve Taylor for forwarding the letter to me). I encourage everyone to take time to read it. The opening paragraph of this letter reads as follows:
“In recent months we have been witnessing the formation of two opposing sides that I would call Biblical: the children of light and the children of darkness. The children of light constitute the most conspicuous part of humanity, while the children of darkness represent an absolute minority. And yet the former are the object of a sort of discrimination which places them in a situation of [supposed] moral inferiority with respect to their adversaries, who often hold strategic positions in government, in politics, [education], in the economy and in the media. In an apparently inexplicable way, the good are held hostage by the wicked and by those who help them either out of self-interest or fearfulness.”
Further on in the letter, Archbishop Vigano continues with this:
"...the children of darkness — whom we may easily identify with the deep state which you wisely oppose and which is fiercely waging war against you in these days — have decided to show their cards, so to speak, by now revealing their plans."
Now, three years on since Vigano presciently wrote, the multi-faceted, fiercely waged war against Trump he spoke of continues to unfold as the illegitimate, corrupt Biden regime unleashes the full and lawless fury of captured and corrupt government institutions against DJT.
I have in the past repeatedly pointed out and will do so again here that Donald Trump has served as a lightning rod, splitting the intellectual, moral and spiritual ether of our society - the seditious, treasonous, corrupt and lawless enemies of liberty and their ignorant useful-idiot minions martialed viciously against him, and decent, informed, patriotic citizens - lovers of liberty, supporters of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the undergirding, enlightened libertarian philosophy and Judeo/Christian principles America was founded upon - standing with Trump. The latter are people who have sufficient light and understanding shining in their souls to see through the lies and sophistry of the seditionists and traitors among us.
Though, as a consequence of the advent of Donald J. Trump, America has entered upon the greatest period of intellectual, moral and spiritual conflict since the Revolution - consequent to the stunning intellectual, moral and spiritual degradation of American society over an astonishingly short period of years - this conflict - the children of light arrayed against the children of darkness - was inevitable - and the sooner the battle is engaged the better.
The longer the metastatic intellectual, moral, spiritual cancer in our society is left undetected and unconfronted, the less the likelihood the patient - our great free nation of America - will survive. Unless this cancerous rot eating away at the innards of our society is named for what it is - and - however radical the necessary surgery - the tumor excised by indignant and determined patriotic citizens who constitute the majority - the land of the free and home of the brave - our beautiful America - is finished.
Unless the people take decisive action - which first of all requires their waking up to their dire circumstances - what will remain of America after the traitors are finished with it will be a jackbooted tyranny and a pathetic ash heap of poverty the Founders would not recognize - a pitiful laughingstock in the eyes of the world: “Lo! How the might have fallen!”
The great service - arguably the greatest service - DJT, for all his personal flaws and foibles, has rendered his people - the patriotic citizens who love America and stand up for the Constitution and the rule of law - has been to blow the cover on the lawless seditionists and traitors among us - that corrupt and subversive fifth column who have no love for America but instead, in their relentless pursuit of wealth and power, are focused self-servingly on selling out America and the American people - the illegitimate, corrupt, doddering dement and traitor now sullying the Oval Office being the quintessential example.
Prior to Trump's arrival, these treasonous vipers - these subversive snakes in the grass - were well hidden, nicely camouflaged and - most importantly - unchallenged, especially in the upper echelons of our society where they have successfully and pervasively infiltrated virtually all our vital institutions - education, entertainment, science, medicine, media, and every branch of our national government - judicial, legislative and executive.
With the ascent to power of DJT - an imperfect, brash, America-loving, uncontrollable political iconoclast who has no fear of the elitist, deeply entrenched power establishment and refuses to play their game - these treasonous wolves in sheep’s clothing, previously unchallenged and secure in their camouflaged redoubts, saw the existential threat this man posed to their ongoing subjugation and rape of the American people and, in a panic, have been flushed out of their holes, now giving us the chance to see them for the poisonous serpents they really are - or, as the Chinese put it, we now get to “see their true faces and eyes” - 看到他們的真面目
Donald Trump thus has become a pivotal character in the sweeping scope of the history of our great nation. As his first term in office made clear to anyone with even a few functioning brains cells, in the face of the most lawless and vicious opposition he fearlessly stood up for America’s traditional best interests and promises to continue doing so when he is re-elected - which he almost certainly will be if the 2024 election is remotely free and fair - and you can be certain the treasonous Democrat Left will do everything in the power to ensure it is not. Trump is a man who early on said what he would do and then did what he said - and what he said and did on our behalf during his first term, notwithstanding the relentless, treasonous forces brought again him - produced, as a matter of record, more good for the people than delivered by any other modern president.
Except for the petty and small-minded, this documented reality - what Trump did and will do again for America - far transcends any personal liking or disliking of Donald Trump. In this context - that of the critical, existential best interests of the American people and nation - the man’s personal failings pale into insignificance. His past and future actions on behalf of the people and nation are all that matters.
Accordingly, notwithstanding Trump’s quirks and foibles - leaving it to God in heaven to pass judgment on his “sins” (let the condescending, self-righteous, moralistic prigs among us cast the first stone) - I believe every patriotic citizen owes DJT a vote of thanks for having the backbone to stand up for our people and nation, as he did so effectively in his first term, and for so greatly clarifying and simplifying our national political life by blowing the cover on the previously well-hidden traitors, sappers and saboteurs lurking in the shadows among us.
You can’t fight an enemy you can’t see and don’t know. Now we see and know.
As I set forth in a previous post - “No-Brainer” - (I challenge any reader to respond not with a statement of frivolous, petty likes or dislikes, but with a reasoned argument against the logic set forth in that post) - what once might have appeared difficult, complex and obscure to many - especially given the almost universal anti-Trump corruption and manipulation of media sources of information - has now, thanks to Donald Trump driving all the snakes out of the grass, been rendered transparently easy - no longer rocket science but, for those possessed of any intellectual, moral and spiritual awareness and even a few firing synapses, literally a no-brainer. I asked in that post - and ask here again - what kind of an intellectual, moral and spiritual non-entity does it take to fail to see what is so obvious?
This, in my view, is now so indisputably true - the political scene has been reduced to such brutal, screaming clarity and our circumstances so dire - that, for me and my house, the means for understanding and evaluating the politicians around us, and for determining our positioning in relation to them - for or against - has been reduced to just two questions:
What do you think of Donald J. Trump?
If Trump is the Republican nominee for president in 2024, will you commit to support him?
Considering them to be part of the problem we face as a people and nation, we will, in what we understand to be the best interests of our country at this critical time, set our faces against all who provide negative answers to those two questions. I believe there exists no intellectually, morally or spiritually sound argument against this reasoning. Still, I welcome anyone who presumes to any thoughtful understanding of what America needs in our current dire straits to take thoughtful, reasoned issue with my thinking here and in the “no-brainer” post. Show me where and how I am wrong.
Archbishop Vigano has reduced the worldwide conflict we face to one between the children of light and the children of darkness. I agree. It’s just that simple. In acknowledgment, I will modify slightly my standard closing:
Right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, reality vs. fantasy, law vs. lawlessness, justice vs. injustice, order vs. chaos, liberty vs. tyranny, good vs. evil, the children of light vs. the children of darkness, God vs. the Godless…
Stand up and choose. You will, one way or another…
If you can be fooled, you will be.
