WHO'S CLOSER TO JESUS - DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS?
In another forum, a friend made the following observation about Kamala Harris’s performance in her recent interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier:
"Her handlers are probably pretty happy at how she performed because she probably didn’t lose any support from all of the idiots who supported her before last night’s short interview on Fox. Losing the support of the same morons who voted for Biden/Harris in 2020 would have been a disaster for the Harris/Walz campaign." - FJD
My comment:
Any observer of this interview with even a few shavings of perception and judgment certainly saw this vacuous woman for the pathetic, desperate fraud - this incarnate insult to intelligence - she actually is. What kind of intellectual, moral and spiritual substance in the observer was required to see the reality presented by this empty shell of a person as she deflected and danced away from answering virtually every question Baier asked and invariably returned to ad hominem attacks on Donald Trump? - and what deficit of such substance had to be present in those who applauded and affirmed her performance?
Just goes to reinforce my long-standing argument that what is really underway in this campaign is not so much a rational, reality-based evaluation of two candidates focused on what is good for the country but the revealing of a grand separation of the nation's sheep from the goats along intellectual, moral and spiritual fault lines - this being the fundamental dynamic - the quality of the character of the American people - that will determine the fate of the Great Experiment that is America - an experiment under greater threat today than ever before in our history.
Based on a tough-minded, unforgiving, non-negotiable, real-world understanding of things and the inexorable consequences that flow from it - you can't fool Mother Nature - decent Americans should be humiliated beyond expression as they contemplate the dreadful reality that something approaching half our population is so intellectually, morally and spiritually degraded and moribund, so ignorantly suicidal, as to throw their support to this anti-American shrew.
I certainly feel that humiliation every time I see a poll cited that seems to indicate a near 50/50 split between these two radically different candidates - one, based on his record, vigorously, constructively pro-American, the other, based on her record, a virtual wrecking ball when it comes to the best interests of the country. Can it possibly be that half our people cannot draw these critical distinctions? Can it be that fully half of us call darkness light and light darkness?
Where can that lead?
Seems to me Americans are like a lineup of people looking into the same rising sun, some seeing the brightening day, others, seeing no light at all, declaring it midnight. Everything depends on the quality of the intellectual, moral and spiritual lens through which people view and understand the world. What is truly frightening - at least to me - is the magnitude - the height and depth - of darkness that can consume the unregenerate human soul and the extent of that darkness among our people. No evil is beyond the reach of such corruption.
This - this stark contrast between right and wrong, truth and lies, reality and fantasy, light and darkness, good and evil, - calls to mind my running across sometime back a letter to the editor of the Salt Lake Tribune, a subtly anti-LDS, liberal news organ here in Utah. Providing readers a quintessential example of the liberal ability to call evil good and good evil, the writer of the letter, maintaining that the platform of the Democrat Party was very much akin to the teachings of Jesus (sic), asked why then were there not more Democrats in the senior leadership of the LDS Church?
I responded with my own letter to the Trib - which, to their credit, they printed - saying that, since the doctrines and practices of the Democrat Party are in reality not in harmony with, but an abomination in the sight of God when compared to the doctrine of Christ (the sacrosanct, inviolable Democrat sacrament of abortion being the supreme example), the real question was - and is - why are there in LDS senior leadership any Democrats at all? (I have a theory on that I'll save for another day).
Right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, reality vs. fantasy, knowledge vs. ignorance, law vs. lawlessness, order vs. chaos, patriotism vs. treason, light vs. darkness, good vs. evil, happiness vs. misery, God vs. the Godless…
