You Can't Fool Mother Nature
In response to the ongoing donnybrook over the Supreme Court’s recent decision regarding Roe v. Wade, a liberal who participates in the online forum I also inhabit today made the dubious assertion that "a majority of the population" opposes the court’s ruling. Here below is my response:
Drop this gore - the reality of abortion - in the laps of those Americans being polled and ask how many of them approve:
And even if, hypothetically, a majority of the population were in favor of it, would that make abortion right? Since when was morality - right and wrong, good and evil - determined by majority opinion or popular vote? Indeed, if every living soul on earth looked upon the above image with approval, would that make it right?
Should we, for purposes of discussion, set aside God, his commandments and admonitions - if indeed there were no God - and every human being alive approved of the practice, would that make the abomination of abortion "right" or in any sense good?
The answer, decisively, is, no, it would not. Why? Because, wherever it came from, whether it was created by a divine being or came into existence some other way, we exist within a natural Reality - and I capitalize the word because, whether set in place by God or not, Reality, undeniable in its existence, is as all-powerful, dictatorial as to outcomes, and utterly implacable in the face of opposition as any god one could imagine up as the creator of the universe. Within that Reality, all things - including human beings - have an immutable nature. Things are what they are, not what they are not, and not what some people imagine them to be.
Up against that non-negotiable, intransigent Reality, human beings have only the choice whether to understand it, embrace and harmonize with it, or defy and fly in the face of it. Harmonize and prosper. Defy and suffer. For you and me, for all of us, that is the absolute bedrock truth of the universe. Those fools who think they can create and live in their own fantasy world, their own surreality, have entered upon a conflict with Reality they cannot win. They have chosen delusion and will pay the high price Reality inexorably will exact. You can run, but you can't hide. You can't fool Mother Nature.
For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, abortion, in the bounds of that non-negotiable Reality, is utterly alien to the nature and well-being of humankind in all aspects of their existence - their physical, emotional, intellectual, moral and spiritual natures. Talk to and assess the intellectual, moral and spiritual quality and substance of a pro-abortion fanatic - a woman who has had one or more abortions. It won't be too hard to see the miserable reality of what you are looking at. Happy campers? I think not.
Any decent young man out there looking to build a life and contribute to the future, looking for a good, compassionate, soft-hearted, loving, nurturing, upstanding, moral young woman for a wife, a gentle friend, a mother of his children? How about one of these sweethearts?
Moreover, again in the context of that aforementioned brutal, unforgiving Reality, since babies are the future of humanity, if the societally suicidal, corrupt and murderous abortion mentality now raging among us prevails and is pursued to its extreme, the human species will be rendered non-viable and one day wink out of existence. In order for there to be a future for mankind, somebody's got to be there.
In short, God or not, abortion is the most anti-human, inhuman practice one could imagine.
"... Behold, I say unto you, wickedness never was happiness. ... all men that are in a state of nature, or I would say, in a carnal state, are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity; they are without God in the world, and they have gone contrary to the nature of God; therefore, they are in a state contrary to the nature of happiness." - Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Book of Mormon, Alma 41:10
These are the times that try men's souls...
