ARE THE HEAVENS ABOUT TO RAIN BLESSINGS OR HELLFIRE ON AMERICA?
What does God think of America today?
In another forum, referring to the 81 million people who purportedly voted for Joe Biden in 2020 (I think that number was significantly inflated via election fraud), a friend notes that "those same idiots are still out there, and I haven't met one single Biden/Harris 2020 voter who isn't voting for Harris/Walz..."
Indeed, you can't fix stupid - especially mindless, determined, dug-in stupid - and, sadly, collectively, there's no avoiding having to pay the price for it. If a majority of us choose stupid, we will all pay.
As I have argued in the past, the intellectually, morally and spiritually defunct among us will not magically disappear or be transformed into rational decent enlightened God-fearing human beings should Trump win the election. Steeped in their corruption and Godlessness, they will remain among us and will continue to have a baneful, evil impact on the collective character of the people and a corrosive influence on the forward progress of the nation.
Indeed, if Trump wins the election, on that very day the forces of evil in this country - dark forces that are manifest politically via the Democrat Party - will rachet up their lawless resistance to all that is good - all that Trump and his supporters aspire to do for the country and people. In their venomous envy, their insatiable lust for power, these lawless demons, twisting and trampling on the Constitution, will seek to obstruct by every means possible Mr. Trump's return to the presidency, attempt to foil him in his every official act once he is back in the Oval Office - as they did during his first term - and, as we have already witnessed, they will not stop short of violence.
Trump’s life will be in jeopardy every minute from enemies within and without. As we witnessed in Butler, PA, he may not even be able to depend on his own praetorian guard to protect him.
Why? What did this man - imperfect like the rest of us - ever do to deserve all this? What did he do during his first-term service as president that was not in the best interests of our nation and people? What does he propose to do, should he be re-elected, that is not in our best interest?
The answer is, nothing. Trump has done nothing deserving of the avalanche of hate that has thundered down upon him since he first stepped into the political arena in 2015. Utterly detached from reality, the vile venom spewed at him by his enemies has nothing to do with anything he did or proposes to do as president, and everything to do with the fact that he, a populist nationalist, pro-American, patriotic outsider, had and has again the temerity - unforgivable from his enemies’ point of view - to challenge them in what they arrogantly deem to be their absolute right to permanent, unassailable power.
I often ask myself, where can all this possibly lead? What will determine our fate as a people and nation? Because it will reveal a great deal about the intellectual, moral and spiritual character of the American people - the real driver of the future - the results of the coming election will also reveal much of what lies ahead for America.
In a recent post - “THOU SHALT NOT VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP - SAYETH THE LORD?” - I responded to a group of so-called “prominent” members of the LDS Church - self-righteous, judgmental prigs in my estimation - who nonsensically and suicidally assured us our LDS faith demands - indeed, God himself commands - that no LDS vote be cast for Donald J. Trump. Providing a stunning example of how far off the mark people can go while still thinking themselves brilliant, those people - and member of the LDS Church who buys into their supercilious, condescending nonsense - simply amaze me.
Rather than hubristically presume, as they did, to interpret for you and me what God thinks and commands, I prefer to let words of ancient prophecy speak for themselves regarding the dynamics that will determine our national fate:
"For behold, this [America] is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are swept off. And this cometh unto you, O ye Gentiles, that ye may know the decrees of God—that ye may repent, and not continue in your iniquities until the fulness come, that ye may not bring down the fulness of the wrath of God upon you as the inhabitants of the land have hitherto done. Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written."
- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Book of Mormon, Ether 2:10-12
Along these lines, I recently offered another post that might be helpful here:
“WHO’S CLOSER TO JESUS - DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS?”
In rethinking it, that piece might have been retitled “WHO’S CLOSER TO JESUS - HARRIS OR TRUMP? For those who credit the above bit of prophecy, that’s what it is going to come down to next Tuesday. (See also again “TRUMP VS. HARRIS - REASON YOUR WAY TO THE RIGHT CHOICE”.)
Where, then, do we stand today in America in relation to "the everlasting decree of God" concerning this land and its inhabitants? Considering the above prophetic citation, what do you suppose God thinks of us today? Or, put another way, what do we think of the God of the land, Jesus Christ? Given the overall intellectual, moral and spiritual quality of Americans today, are we collectively more Christian than we have been in the past, or less? Are we becoming more Christian or less? By that measure, should we expect blessings to rain down from heaven upon this land and a righteous, enlightened Christian people, or, like Sodom and Gomorrah and their depraved inhabitants, hellfire and brimstone?
You tell me.
Right vs. wrong, truth vs. lies, reality vs. fantasy, knowledge vs. ignorance, order vs. chaos, law vs. lawlessness, patriotism vs. treason, courage vs. cowardice, liberty vs. tyranny, light vs. darkness, good vs. evil, happiness vs. misery, God vs. the Godless…
Your choice on Tuesday.
If you can be fooled, you will be…
